AFTES is a multidisciplinary organisation representing all trades involved in the design and construction of underground structures and spaces, whilst aiming to improve knowledge and techniques in this field.
Presentation of AFTES Working Groups (GTs) and list of peer-reviewed recommendations covering all aspects of underground works, and the open knowledge databases. The GTs, currently numbering 28, bring together more than 300 engineers and specialists from across the profession, working on establishing all these documents.

This French–English Glossary of underground civil engineering is a collective work produced by a small working group established by the Publications Committee of AFTES.
