European Underground & Tunnel Forum – EUTF

The European Underground and Tunnel Forum (EUTF) is a platform that brings together the leading national tunnel associations across Europe to coordinate initiatives, promote innovation, and represent the interests of the tunnelling and underground space sector at the international level.

History and Foundation:

The European Underground and Tunnel Forum (EUTF) was officially established on 1 November 2019. It was created with the aim of collectively representing the European tunnelling community within the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA).

Bringing together nine Western European nations, the EUTF was founded to showcase and share the work being carried out within each member country, while strengthening common positions on issues of major importance to the tunnelling profession across Europe. The Forum serves as a platform enabling European stakeholders to coordinate their efforts more effectively and to play a stronger role in the governance and delivery of international initiatives.

The members of the EUTF are strongly represented within the Executive Council of the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA).

Eric Leca (France) serves as President of the EUTF until 2026.
