3 June 2022 Off By Marie-Christine MICHEL

ESCT obtains the RNCP title for its BAC+5 Construction Project Manager training: Recognition of the adequacy of the training to the needs of companies.

The Greater Paris project, the deployment of fiber optics, housing rehabilitation, the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024… the construction sector is experiencing significant growth in France and is generating a significant human resource requirement to manage these operations, while companies are already having difficulty recruiting qualified personnel.

ESCT, the École Supérieure de Conduite de Travaux, has just obtained the European RNCP level 7 title (BAC+5) for its "Construction Project Manager" training.

This training was sanctioned by France Compétences – the only national governance body for professional training and apprenticeship. The Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP) is a state recognition that certifies the adequacy of training with the needs of companies.
The two-year, sandwich course, Project Manager in Construction and Public Works, is designed for holders of a BAC+3 in construction and public works. It trains managers capable of simultaneously managing the technical, commercial, financial, organizational, legal, managerial and environmental aspects of one or more construction projects.

For Philippe RAOULT, president of ESCT, “The training engineering of this new title has been updated with the support of professionals in the building and public works sector and a selection of our former BAC+5 graduates, which allows us to continue our collaboration with all the players in the building and public works sector in the region, by responding effectively to their challenges and expectations, in order to train their future managers efficiently on all their projects related to building and public works management.”

Strong prospects for recruitment and professional development

The Project Manager training was designed according to the needs of the market, present and future, and with the professionals of the building and public works industry, in order to respond effectively to their expectations. The BAC+5 curriculum is divided into 5 blocks of skills, each corresponding to an identified need: establishing the company’s strategy, managing the financial performance of its operational perimeter, contractually managing a complex construction project
project and managing human resources within its operational perimeter.

The professional integration of ESCT’s BAC+5 graduates is excellent: 96.8% of the 2020-2021 students were recruited as soon as they obtained their certification. 92.4% of them have signed a permanent contract and their average gross annual salary is €37,267. In addition to its BAC+5 program, ESCT offers a 14-week European “MSc Construction & Management” program in the final year of the program, in partnership with Abertay University (Dundee, Scotland).
In 2021, all 43 ESCT students who have completed this double degree program have obtained this European certification, which further enhances the value of their BAC+5 program for those who wish to pursue an international career. After their training, graduates have strong career opportunities: after a few years of experience, they can become works managers, sector managers or even agency managers.

Expertise in training in construction management

Created in 2006, ESCT offers training courses from BAC+2 to BAC+5 related to construction management and construction economics, all of which lead to professional titles registered with the RNCP. Several training modes are offered (alternating, in center with a period of internship or in E-learning) to allow all learners to train at their own pace, taking into account their personal and professional situation.
Designed and taught by professionals, the courses are updated with each renewal and are therefore perfectly adapted to the needs of companies and to changes in the sector (digital transition (BIM), energy transition, waste management/treatment, etc.).
ESCT has 5 centers (Paris-Montreuil, Marseille, Strasbourg-Illkirch, Rennes-Pacé and Bordeaux-Mérignac) where it currently hosts 855 work-study students, spread across 700 construction groups and companies throughout France and the French overseas departments. The school’s regional presence is a strategic objective: students stay and work in their region, which helps maintain the local economic fabric, a priority for ESCT.
priority for ESCT.
In September 2022, ESCT will continue to strengthen its regional presence and open its 6th center in Lyon – Saint-Priest.
