Photo Contest Launch – AFTES International Congress

On the occasion of the 18th AFTES International Congress, to be held from October 12 to 14, 2026 at Lille Grand Palais, the French Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (AFTES) is organizing an original photo contest entitled “Journey to the Center of the Earth: Perspectives on Underground Lines.”
Open free of charge to everyone — engineers, researchers, civil engineering professionals, amateur or passionate photographers — this contest invites participants to take an artistic and technical look at underground infrastructures and environments.
Applications are open until June 10, 2026. The 20 best photographs will be exhibited throughout the Congress, offering an exceptional showcase for the selected talents. Three winners will be awarded during the Gala Evening on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Participants are invited to explore, observe, and capture their vision of the underground world through the lens of their camera, then submit their work via the online entry form: Photo Contest.
