On December 17, the AFTES Materials and Equipment Committee (COMEP) organized a technical visit to the Metalliance company site, bringing together industry professionals for high-quality technical and industrial exchanges. The event was jointly organized by Patrick Dubreuille, co-managing director of Metalliance, and Alain Mercusot, Chairman of the COMEP.
The day began at the Mecateam training center in Saint-Vallier with a welcome session and introductions of the 24 participants, followed by presentations focusing on the COMEP’s missions, current industry challenges, and the solutions developed by Metalliance. These discussions helped establish a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
Participants then visited Metalliance’s production sites, where they discovered the industrial facilities, manufacturing processes, and the specialized equipment designed by the company. Discussions with the technical teams provided practical insights into design, innovation, and the adaptation of equipment to meet project-specific requirements.
The day concluded with a return to Mecateam, featuring an AFTES discussion session on the topics addressed, followed by a convivial moment over refreshments. Highly appreciated by all participants, this visit perfectly illustrates the mission of the AFTES COMEP: to promote the sharing of experience, showcase industrial expertise, and contribute to the advancement of practices in the field of specialized materials and equipment.
