The Association fosters relationships and promotes cooperation between public or private-sector contracting authorities and all industry players with activities relating to underground structures and spaces.

AFTES has members from across the industry, including contracting authorities, main contractors, engineering and inspection organisations, contractors and architects, as well as French and international students.
